INDIANAPOLIS -- Adam Vinatieri had two wishes in free agency. Dan Fouts Youth Jersey . He wanted to win one more Super Bowl ring for his thumb, and he wanted to do it with the Colts. Indianapolis refused to let the 41-year-old kicker slip away Wednesday, re-signing Vinatieri just hours before he was to become an unrestricted free agent. "Id like to be here if the cards fall right," Vinatieri said in January, after the Colts were eliminated with a playoff loss at New England, where he won three Super Bowls. "Obviously this locker rooms awesome. Ive got a lot of friends in this locker room and Ive got the most admiration for the ownership here and coaches and staff and everything. So if its up to me, Id love to be here." Terms of the deal were not announced by the team. But the signing was well-received by Vinatieris current and future teammates, especially those on a kicking unit that has developed a tight bond over the past two seasons. Indy kept punter and kickoff specialist Pat McAfee last week, agreeing to a five-year deal. Long snapper Matt Overton, who went to the Pro Bowl last season, is already under contract. Not surprisingly, Overton and McAfee, two avid fans of Twitter, didnt take long to respond to the news Vinatieri would return to Indy for his 19th NFL season. Overton wrote: "The #4thDownPlayers are back! Congrats to @adamvinatieri & @PatMcAfeeShow on signing new deals!" Later, McAfee, added this: "The Kick attack is back Jack." Vinatieri is widely considered the best clutch kicker in league history. He made two Super Bowl-winning kicks with New England, where he won three Super Bowl rings. He might be best known, however, for making the tying kick to force overtime and the winning kick in overtime in a driving snowstorm to beat Oakland in the "Tuck Rule" playoff game. That win helped propel the Patriots to their first Super Bowl title. He left New England as a free agent following the 2005 season and landed with the Colts, where he immediately won a fourth Super Bowl. The Colts made it back to the Super Bowl following the 2009 season, but lost to New Orleans when Vinatieri was on injured reserve. For most of last season, Vinatieri was the oldest player in the league. He turned 41 in December. But he still had it. Vinatieri finished with the second-highest point total of his career (139), made 35 of 40 field goals and became the seventh player in league history to top 2,000 career points. Hes the second player in league history to score at least 800 points with two teams and needs one more 100-point season to break Jason Elams career record of 16. The Vinatieri signing is the latest in a flurry of moves the Colts have made going into free agency. They signed former Browns linebacker DQwell Jackson last week, then released starting centre Samson Satele to save about $4 million under the new $133 million salary cap. They also tendered three other free agents and re-signed defensive end Fili Moala and linebacker Justin Hickman on Monday. Indy, which had about $36 million to spend in free agency before the Vinatieri, is expected to look for help along the offensive line and on defence when the free agent market opens later Tuesday. Nasir Adderley Jersey . Wade is posting a short film on his website next week, with a sneak preview scheduled to come out Wednesday. Easton Stick Chargers Jersey . - Kobe Bryant and LeBron James traded hugs, big shots and verbal jabs all night with warmth and humour. http://www.prochargersteamstore.com/Yout...te-Jersey/ . According to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger, it doesnt appear the offer was warmly received by the team. Blue Jackets director of hockey operations John Davidson and general manager Jarmo Kekalainen said on Wednesday the team has made offers of $6 million for two years, $32 million for six and $46 million over eight years but each one was refused by the restricted free agent centre and agent Kurt Overhardt.MILAN, Italy -- Roma maintained its perfect start to the season with a 5-0 win over Bologna to return to the top of Serie A on Sunday, while Juventus kept up the pressure on the capital side with a 1-0 victory in a heated derby at city rival Torino. Roma is two points clear of Juventus and Napoli, with Inter Milan a further two points behind after it was held to a 1-1 draw at Cagliari. Elsewhere, Sassuolo picked up a second point, coming from two goals down to draw 2-2 against high-flying Lazio, while striker German Denis tormented former club Udinese as his two goals gave Atalanta a controversial 2-0 win. Also, it was: Catania 2, Chievo Verona 0; and Hellas Verona 2, Livorno 1. "Our objective is still to get back into Europe and be up there with the other favourites like Napoli and Juventus in the final sprint," Roma coach Rudi Garcia said. "Well see when we play against them. They are only two points behind, which is nothing." Roma had won all five of its games this season -- for the first time in its history -- but was yet to score in the first half. It corrected that failing after eight minutes. Bologna goalkeeper Gianluca Curci parried Miralem Pjanics free kick but Alessandro Florenzi ran in to head into an empty goal. Gervinho doubled Romas advantage 10 minutes later, dribbling forward past Mikael Antonsson and driving low inside the near post. And Mehdi Benatia added a third in the 25th with a stunning volley following a corner. Gervinho, who had had a disappointing two seasons at Arsenal, fired in under the bar in the 62nd for his third goal in two games before substitute Adem Ljajic capped a fantastic night for Roma on his 22nd birthday. "He is a lad who needs confidence and goalscoring opportunities, which dont exist without him there," Garcia added. "Of course he makes some mistakes, but if he plays and has a lot of chances, he scores." In Turin, Paul Pogba scored a contentious 54th-minute winner for Juventus, nodding in the rebound after Carlos Tevezs header came off the crossbar. There were fierce protests from Torino, however, as Tevez appeared to be offside. Torino had gone close in a scrappy first half, but Juventus dominated after scoring and never looked like conceding. Torino has not won the Derby della Mole since 1995, and hasnt even scored in the past 15 editions. Tevez injured his ankle in a nasty tackle by former Juventus striker Ciro Immobile, and his club says he is an injury doubt for Wednesdays Champions League match against Galatasaray. "They told me Tevez was offside. But it also has to be said that earlier we were unlucky because Immobile shoulld have been sent off for the foul on Tevez," Juventus coach Antonio Conte said. LaDainian Tomlinson Youth Jersey. . "Sometimes decisions are in your favour, sometimes not. "Today there was one team that looked for the victory and then there was Torino, which sat back and waited, even after going a goal down. Its a difficult league and our opponents change their whole approach to limit us rather than play their own football." Cagliari was still playing its home matches nearly 1,000 kilometres (600 miles) away in Trieste due to ongoing stadium troubles in Sardinia. Inter had several chances to take the lead but Cagliari was rescued by the heroics of goalkeeper Michael Agazzi, who pulled off impressive saves to deny Yuto Nagatomo, Fredy Guarin (twice) and Ishak Belfodil. Belfodil had the best of those chances but headed straight at the goalkeeper from very close range and Agazzi was able to stop it with the help of his left upright. Inter finally broke the deadlock in the 75th minute when Mauro Icardi headed in Nagatomos pass following a well-worked move. However, Cagliari levelled five minutes from full time as a deflection off Rolando took Radja Nainggolans shot past a hapless Samir Handanovic. Sassuolo had the worst attack and worst defence heading into the match against Lazio, with two goals scored and 16 conceded, but its first ever Serie A point -- in a 1-1 draw at Napoli midweek -- had given it confidence and the home side dominated the first half. Lazio took the lead against the run of play five minutes after the interval when Andre Dias headed Antonio Candrevas corner into the bottom left corner. The capital side doubled its advantage four minutes later with a low, 25-yard (meter) shot from Candreva, but Ezequiel Schelotto immediately pulled one back for Sassuolo when he headed in Jasmin Kurtics corner. Sassuolo levelled in the 76th when Antonio Floro Flores lifted a free kick over the wall. Lazio goalkeeper Federico Marchetti got his hands to the ball but couldnt prevent it from going in. In Bergamo, Atalanta took the lead moments from halftime when a corner was nodded on for Denis to head in from close range. Udinese thought it had been given the chance to level less than a minute into the second half when the referee signalled for a penalty after Guglielmo Stendardo pulled down Danilo. Antonio Di Natale stepped up to the spot before the referee consulted with his assistant and cancelled the penalty, because of an offside just before the foul. Denis doubled Atalantas advantage in the 63rd, running onto a chipped ball over the defence from Luca Cigarini and slotting into the bottom right corner. ' ' '
