ST. Cole Toner Jersey . LOUIS -- A.J. Burnett had a special fan watching him pitch for the first time Friday night and he wanted to impress. He did. Burnett scattered seven hits for his first complete game of the year and the Philadelphia Phillies won their season-high fifth in a row, beating the St. Louis Cardinals 5-1. "It the first time in my career my grandmother has seen me pitch," Burnett said. "It was extra special. She came up from Little Rock, Arkansas, with my mom and brother. It was awesome. She saw a good game." "Im giving her the game ball," he said. The Phillies winning streak has come on the road. They have won nine of 11 overall. "Everybody is feeding off one another and its clicking," Burnett said. "Were having fun." St. Louis has dropped three in a row after winning five straight. "Were trying real hard," said Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina, who had two hits. "But were facing good pitchers. A.J. threw a good game, kept us off balance." Burnett (5-6) threw 111 pitches to earn his 24th complete game. He struck out three, walked one and hit two batters. "Complete games dont happen very often," Burnett said. "I got quick outs, groundball outs. I threw my changeup a lot. I bet I threw 20-plus tonight. It was one of the days when the hook wasnt there. Normally, we keep pounding the hook trying to get it, but the changeup was effective. That pitch helped more than anything." That was the key, Philadelphia manager Ryne Sandberg said. "He had command of three pitches and he seemed to really pound the zone," Sandberg said. "When we gave him the lead, he really held his stuff. He still had good stuff in the ninth inning. He did a lot of things to help himself win the game." That included his bat. Burnett, who came into the season as a career .110 hitter, contributed an RBI double and scored. The ball bounced on the track in front of the 400-foot mark. "With the infield in, Ive got hit it in the air, right?" Burnett said with a laugh. "I put a pretty good swing on it thought. Thats all I got, though. If that ball doesnt leave, its not going to leave at all." Marlon Byrd homered and John Mayberry Jr. added two hits and scored twice. Jimmy Rollins drove in two runs and extended his hitting streak to 14 games with two hits. Jaime Garcia (3-1) pitched into the sixth inning, giving up four runs on seven hits and two walks. He lost his third start in a row to the Phillies. "He pitched close enough to give us a chance," St. Louis manager Mike Matheny said. "He had good movement, he just got hit a couple of times." The game began after a 50-minute rain delay. St. Louis took a 1-0 lead in the third when Matt Carpenter was hit by a pitch with two outs and later scored on a single by Matt Holliday. The Phillies scored twice in the fifth and three more in the sixth. Mayberry, Burnett and Rollins doubled in the fifth. Burnett drove in his first run of the season and Rollins stretched his longest hitting streak since a 14-game run in 2007. "Any way I can help," Burnett said. "Whatever it takes." The Phillies chased Garcia in the sixth. Byrd led off with a homer. After Domonic Brown doubled, Seth Maness relieved. Mayberry hit an RBI single and scored on Rollins sacrifice fly. NOTES: The Cardinals did not take batting practice before the game. ... The Phillies activated 3B Cody Asche (left hamstring) from the 15-day disabled list and put 3B Reid Brignac on the DL with a sprained left ankle. Brignac hurt his ankle in a play at first base Thursday when he tried to beat pitcher Shelby Miller to the bag. Asche grew up in nearby St. Charles County and played for the first time at Busch Stadium. ... Cardinals P Kevin Siegrist (strained left forearm) played long toss from 120 feet. He has not pitched since May 23. He said he might throw bullpen session Sunday. ... Cards GM John Mozeliak said P Trevor Megill, the Cardinals third-round pick in the amateur draft, has opted to return to Loyola Marymount for his senior season. Mozeliak said the team no longer will scout Megill, adding that Megill wanted more than the designated slot value of $504,400. ... Mozeliak said P Joe Kelly will have a "rigorous bullpen" Sunday and then a "baseball decision" will made about when Kelly might begin a rehab assignment. ... Rosemary Depler, of Peoria, Illinois, celebrated her 101st birthday by throwing out the ceremonial first pitch. Nick Dzubnar Jersey . Gaborik was acquired in a trade with Columbus on Wednesday and skated on the top line with centre Anze Kopitar and right-winger Justin Williams. "We created some things," said Gaborik, who logged 16:38 of ice time. Mike Williams Jersey . Jacobs scored two in the first end, but Jahr briefly took charge with two in the second end and two more in the third. Jacobs, from Sault. Marie, Ont., gave Canada some breathing room, following his big fourth end by adding two more points in the fifth to go up 7-4. http://www.cheapchargersjerseysauthentic...ion-jersey .Y. -- A month ago, Syracuse was unbeaten, ranked No.Sky Sports News HQs Rob Dorsett is in Barcelona ahead of Arsenals Champions League clash and has been speaking with Gunners fans about the future of manager Arsene Wenger. Ask any Arsenal fan here for the game at the Nou Camp, and the same pained expression comes across their face. It hurts them to even think about it. But, with Arsenal facing another last-16 exit from the Champions League, just three days after being knocked out of the FA Cup at home to Watford, theyll tell you the situation is becoming critical. Its the main topic among the travelling groups, in every tapas restaurant and bar along Los Ramblas - and they are divided almost 50-50. Arsenal supporters are realistic about beating Barcelona in the Champions League last 16 second-leg tie The man is an Arsenal man, says one fan. A legend. It should be his choice when he goes. I can see him walking, I honestly can. I cant say a word against him, but there has to be change. We are just going nowhere. We just arent good enough to compete with the likes of Barcelona - one Champions League semi-final in 10 years tells its own story. Its all weve heard among Arsenal fans over here. Its been the only topic of conversation. I will never go on telly and call for him to go. Im 28, and Wenger is all Ive ever known. He is Mr Arsenal. But we are now at a stage where enough is enough. Sometimes change isnt a bad thing. Wengers Arsenal have won the FA Cup for the last two seasons - but crashed out at home to Watford last weekend Its horrible seeing the in-fighting among Arsenal fans right now. He should go. But I hate seeing that banner, the one that says Thanks for the memories, Arsene as the fans row between themselves, and some fight to take it down. We have to get behind the team, and save the arguments until the end of the season.Every Arsenal fan seems to share the sentiment about what Wenger has done for their club, and for English football, over the past two decades. But at least half of the fans Ive spoken to - and maybe more than half - think that its time for a change. Some Arsenal fans held up a banner calling for Arsene Wenger during Arsenals FA Cup win at Hull Its time for him to step down, says another fan I spoke to. Sean Culkin Jersey. He shouldve done it at end of last season, because now hes starting to become something of a villain for the fans and thats very hard to take, seeing a man whos done so much for the club becoming hated by so many.Hes our greatest ever manager, we can never repay him for what hes done. But there has to come a time when he has to move on, and that time is now. Its overdue.Hes always going to be a legend at our club for what hes done, but I just think its time for a fresh face, fresh ideas. Wenger has had the same ideas for years. That was fair enough when we were paying off the stadium debt. He managed the club very well in that time. But I find it hard to believe there arent better players out there we couldve bought since then. Can Arsenal salvage season? Former Arsenal striker Alan Smith surveys the scene at the Emirates Not one Arsenal fan Ive spoken to believes they can overturn a 2-0 deficit in the Nou Camp. Though a few believe they can get a result that can rejuvenate the squad (and re-engage the fans) for the games that remain this season. We need a bit of passion. Its too late this time. But Im a football fan and an Arsenal fan. Theyre the best team in the world. Their front three is unbelievable in Messi, Neymar and Suarez. Its done now, as a contest. I just hope we give a good account of ourselves.Ive been to Munich and Monaco when weve been two goals behind, and weve gone close. If we get an early goal, you never know. Arsenal fans would prefer Leicester to win the Premier League rather than see Tottenham crowned champions Leicesters victory over Newcastle opened up a five-point gap to second-placed Tottenham in the Premier League title race, and an 11-point gap to Arsenal. No-one Ive met here in Barcelona thinks Arsenal can catch Leicester - but all of them are united in their support of the Foxes - just so long as it prevents their north London rivals claiming the title. Its too big a gap for us now, and we just arent in any sort of form to put a run together, says one. It would be great to see Leicester win it - a great story. Just so long as its not our noisy neighbours down the road! We will all be backing Leicester now.But I think Spurs will win it. And that kills me to say, but I think theyve got the easier run in. Of course Id rather see Leicester win it rather than Spurs, every day of the week. Itd be the first time in my lifetime that theyve finished above us, and it would be unbearable.Im quite enjoying seeing Chelsea and Man City below us, after all the millions theyve spent, but it hurts to see Spurs above us. Obviously Id rather see Leicester win the League rather than them. Wed never hear the end of it otherwise.
