  • If you need an interpreter for this test, you need to go to one of  the QLD transport centres and let them know that you need an interpreter. They will book your written test for you, providing you with an interpreter.Note: The interpreting services does not cost you anything. It’s FREE, and Because they need to book an interpreter, you can’t take your test on the same day.

    2) You will be asked to pay $171.90 for your licence, which will be valid for 3 years
    3) You will be issued an interim driver licence which you can use to drive legally (with a supervisor sitting next to you) until you get your actual licence in the mail within 2 weeks.
You are now ready to proceed to step 2.

If you use the app, the approval process is faster.

    • DTMR (Department of Transport and Main Roads) will contact you to let you know whether your logbook has passed. You can choose to be notified by Email or SMS.

    • You can apply for a learner logbook exemption, if you meet some certain criteria. A fee of $42.90 applies to submit this application.
